RETURN POLICY

Introductory Note: Celebrain acts as an intermediary between buyers and sellers, facilitating the transaction. It is important to note that each seller’s return policies prevail over those of Celebrain, as long as they are properly described in the product listed on the Celebrain platform.

 

1. How to make a return for online purchases

At the moment the product is received, the customer has 15 minutes to perform a general inspection. If anything is incomplete or there is visible damage, the customer has the right to reject the product. In the case of a rejection, the delivery provider will record the reasons for the return and will take the product back.

If the inspection is not performed at the time of delivery, no exchanges or returns will be accepted.

 

2. Refunds for exchanged items

Celebrain grants its customers the right to a refund or exchange if the purchased product does not meet their expectations. This right is independent from the warranty right established under current legislation. Issues or defects are excluded, as they are governed by the terms and conditions of the warranty.

To exercise this right, the customer must comply with the following terms and conditions:

  • The period to exercise this right is thirty (30) calendar days from the invoice date.

  • The customer must return the item in its original packaging and in “new” condition, without damage or misuse.

  • Only the purchaser may exercise this right, presenting the purchase invoice.

  • The transportation of the item to the point of sale must be covered by the customer.

  • This right does not apply if the customer was informed at the time of purchase that the warranty is limited.

  • Returns generate a reimbursement to the credit card, excluding bank fees and transportation costs. The refund time follows the bank’s policies.

  • Returns due to misuse of the product will not be accepted.

 

3. Cost of the return

The customer assumes the cost of the return, and it is recommended to use Correos de Costa Rica or other reliable providers. The cost will depend on the rates of the logistics provider.

 

4. Returns for malfunction or manufacturing defects

According to the supplier’s policies, merchandise will be exchanged in cases of malfunction or manufacturing defect. The invoice and original packaging must be presented within 30 days after purchase.

 

5. Products with restrictions for exchange and/or return

Products with limited warranty due to packaging defects or other specifications are not accepted for exchanges or returns.

 

6. Refunds for services and rentals

For contracted services and rentals, the warranty is provided by the supplier in accordance with its policies. Celebrain ensures that the services and rentals are fulfilled, but it is not responsible for the obligations of the commercial warranty offered by third parties.
